Let there be light! - The World Light Landmark

Since ever been and the people are fascinated by the light.
There were ancient fire, the Colossus of Rhodes and Lighthouse of Alexandria. Later came the many lighthouses along the coasts and harbors that, without which the voyage would hardly be able to develop. It was a network of the coasts and cities combined. Light brought good orientation and safety. Not least, it was this tradition that inspired the idea of WorldLaserNet.

Humanity needs a symbol, not a monument to a single country but a laser network in the form of a green laser beam, by all States representative for the connection between all people.

Thoughts on WorldLaserNet

Oliver Bienkowski wonders: "Are we actually need a common symbol of the people? I have this question some years followed through with patience. Without the help of many other people I've met in this research and experience, I am not well to the answers come. Therefore, this art project is not only my creation but what you're recognized many others! "

"The breakthrough into a new future together can succeed even if the country is a green light, the symbolic power of the people no matter what country shows that they have one thing in common!

The green laser beam is sent between so-called "laser nodes" across the world. The jet gives people a sense of community, a symbol of the history, the cohesion and a progressive world.

The German artist Oliver Bienkowski light is in frequent contact with companies in Europe and is expanding in Germany, the first nodes of the European Laser Network. Oliver Bienkowski addressed with this art project to all people of world culture and civilization circle.

MAKING OF: Laser Nodes in Germany

TECHNICAL INFORMATION & POWER CONSUMPTION

Each node uses 5-14 watt laser. The laser devices with
6 solar panels (1.12 kWp) operated. Annual production of about 1000 kWh. Unlike Skybeamer our laser beams illuminate the night sky not markedly (beam width adjustable) to 1 mm.

About 1 ton of CO2 reduction annually. The laser beam has a reach of up to 200 kilometers. By setting up on high buildings, we try to produce a laser beam through the whole of Europe to send. Which should at least be found in all capitals again.

Of light pollution can not be spoken. The laser beam of a device is exactly 1 mm wide. It creates no ambient light and a restriction in the sky observation is not given.

The permits for our European network of lasers are not a problem. In Kassel, Göttingen, London and many other cities, such lasers are in operation since 1979.

PERMITS BY CITIES

Our lasers can not be steeper than the horizon level upwards
be addressed, that is also not necessary. We want to connect with our laser system countries, cities and people. The approval according to § 16 Paragraph 1 No. 6 LuftVO (Air Transport Regulation) under these conditions is always present.

On the video shot from us, we shine a laser beam across a city - it is so that we can control the laser power to 1mW. For alignment of our laser, we turn the power of 16 watts to 1mW - here are threats to exclude 100%.

Our staff are all trained and certified laser safety officer in the use of laser devices. You may use a Class 4 laser, manage and maintain.

Justification of the Government Bureau of Stuttgart:

If the laser is not directed into the sky above the horizon level addition, he presents no threat to air transport dar.
With a warning eventual helicopter traffic to the two helipads located in the city, St. Mary's Hospital and St. Catherine's Hospital, the laser show announced.
The ease of air transport is ensured.
From the perspective of the government's Bureau of Stuttgart are against the operation, air travel, no concerns. The interests of public safety and order and the legitimate interests of local residents have been taken into account in order.
